Practice questions for the theory part of the WA Firearm Safety Training Course, which a first-time applicant for a Western Australian firearms licence must complete before the Commissioner of Police can grant it. Written from the six topics Central Regional TAFE publishes for the course: firearms legislation and licensing, safe handling, operation and storage, firearm types and responsible ownership, transport and security, the role of firearms in the community, and key information for all shooters. WA law comes from the Firearms Act 2024 and Firearms Regulations 2024 as at October 2026 and WA Police Force information sheets. Handling, firearm mechanics and ammunition come from the National Firearms Safety Code (Commonwealth, 2002), which pre-dates the Act and is never used for WA law. WA Police say Part 1, the theory, is an online course and assessment run by Central Regional TAFE: 40 questions that change with each attempt across three sections, at least 80% to pass, about 2 hours to finish, and up to 3 attempts (Part 2 is a separate in-person practical). The question pool and the three section names are not public, and the course content sits behind enrolment, so this bank is written from the published topic list and does not mirror the real pool. ExamRoo's 40-question draw and 80% pass mark follow the published format; the 60-minute timer is a practice setting because no time limit is published. Not affiliated with the WA Police Force or any TAFE.
